Mrs. Moses’ 2nd Grade Class

I recently discovered Voice Thread.  It is an amazing tech tool for the classroom.  There are multiple uses for this app.  My students were about to begin learning how to research, and I thought what better way than to use Voice Thread as another resource for recording the facts and details.  The students researched spiders using the dictionary, books, and  they used Pics4learning.com for images.  They had to find 3 facts about Spiders.  I was totally amazed about how engaged my students were in this lesson.  Student centered learning with use of technology  was driving this lesson.  The students then inserted pictures into Voice Thread on three separate slides and used the video recorder tool  to discuss the facts about the Spiders.  The students love to see themselves on camera! A different way of learning how to research brings amazing moments of discussing, collaborating, and critical thinking.  WOW!
